High Mountain Rescue Association in South America. We are an organization dedicated to search, rescue and assistance in mountainous environments and remote and difficult-to-access areas.

These associations are made up of highly trained professionals in various disciplines related to rescue, as well as committed volunteers who prioritize the safety and well-being of hikers, mountaineers and travelers in these regions.

Has operational bases and camps in strategic locations, as well as off-road vehicles and helicopters to access remote areas.

Trained Personnel

Includes certified mountain guides, specialized rescuers, doctors and paramedics trained in first aid and medical care in high mountains, and helicopter pilots.

The association is equipped with advanced technical gear such as rope and anchor systems, radio and satellite communication devices, and emergency medical equipment.

Many of these associations have cooperation agreements with international rescue organizations and participate in training programs and knowledge exchange.

The main mission of the High Mountain Rescue

Association of South America

is to ensure the safety and protection of people who carry out activities in high mountain environments. This organization works in prevention, rescue and assistance in emergency situations in mountainous areas, especially in remote or difficult to access places. Its work includes:

1. Emergency Rescues

They provide assistance to mountaineers, tourists and adventurers who face dangerous situations, whether due to accidents, unexpected weather changes or health problems related to altitude.

2. Training and capacity building

They offer specialized training in rescue techniques, first aid in the mountains, navigation in difficult terrain and survival in extreme conditions.

3. Collaboration with local entities

They work together with local governments, national parks, indigenous communities and other organizations to ensure safety on trekking and climbing routes.

4. Awareness and prevention

In addition to rescues, the association focuses on raising awareness of the risks associated with mountain activities, educating tourists and professionals on best practices to minimize risks.
